Lately, I confess that I’ve been imagining myself in a way I never have before in over a half-century of living here in America: I’m imagining myself as an expat.

no immediate plans but to be w/o a passport is short sighted
i never thought i would use one to flee my country but i can go no where w/o it
my grandparents would be heartbroken
At first, it was difficult to admit this newly-burgeoning fantasy of flight from my place of birth—until I found out how many here are similarly prone to daydreaming right now, as well.
That's because this election has put many of us in a precarious position that we've never been in our entire lives: we're now ashamed of our homeland.
The United States is the most deadly empire in the history of mankind
I'm an expat.
Married a German, she tried America, but the day we had to take our kids to a free clinic- she gave up.
Now I live in a nation where I have more rights than I have at home. It sucks, being away when America is about to hurt. But, She hurt me a lot, that's why I left.

I think we must stand and fight.
#TheResistance
What I am seeing valued is the hoarding of money, power and owning as much as possible.
I'll stay and fight for it to the bitter end.
As a multi-decade expat, I’d more easily understand lacking a sense of belonging due to shifting values and policies, seeking meaningful community and connections.
But not out of embarrassment because you’ll just bring that with you.
This latest evil will not win. Our rightness & determination will not falter. I know. My ancestors told me.
A Americans
G Go
A Abroad
We can save our Democracy if we all share the plan today. Make Biden side with us against Trump and Putin. Fight.
