Save every book you can on any permanent media you can. The first thing they do is burn the books, then they start a war with everyone, then they put us all into the ground as quickly as they can.
great idea, and to people who still have a memory that goes back further than 2 weeks, please remember the events of the last 10 years that you lived through so you can call bullshit when the magats rewrite history, they've already started.
The MAGATs didn't know the history in the first place. It was all washed away in a haze of FOX News and drug-addled dipshits like Alex Jones. And more, they don't care.
They'll memory hole the archives too, of course, But we definitely should create them.
It's no longer a question of memory holing stuff, archives are being actively taken offline and/or corrupted. I could give a shit about what they think, this is what a society needs.
To the general public, write down notes of what you heard and read. Make recordings of what was said. Save things on hard copy. Make sure the story of this time is written in stone.
yeah for sure. it’s one of the genuine policies that project 2025 wants to pursue and that’s one front that i don’t think the left in america can afford to lose.
Books by ppl of color, or by women, but a lot of that stuff would still survive outside the US at least regardless of what happens. So mostly ones that would be useful to have on hand, like history books & books on nonviolent revolution. Things I could get ideas from and want to teach my kids.
And host the archives physically outside of the States, if possible. Who knows when will the orange wig in chief start sending the military to all libraries for "inspection"
The day after feels so unreal, like utopia.
You've got a sad but important suggestions for librarians. It feels utopian and upsetting to think of this new reality.
This website lets you download whole websites like the entirety of Wikipedia and some other useful websites if they manage to strike those down https://kiwix.org/en/
I've been telling my friends to do this for the past four years. So many accounts of the events of 2020 have already been blatantly lied about.
The government (on both sides of the aisle) aggressively want to rewrite the events of that year.

Don’t think that being a government building means the information will be protected anymore. Those days are gone
