We pay thousands of dollars to a company who decides whether we are worthy of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Why do we do this? This seems like something we should be demanding our government fix.
Why does anyone get to decide who gets hell and medial care and who doesn’t 🤷🏻♀️
I believe that health care will regress in the next four years. Hoping that by then voters will have been impacted enough to change their voting patterns. Not terribly optimistic but hopeful.
The affordable care act eliminated pre-existing conditions. I have no doubt one of the first act of the fascist Republican Congress will be to repeal the affordable care act.
I think the insurance companies should be treated as people under Citizens United, and charged with terrorism against their customers. And throw in the 8th amendment to boot
But it's only relevant in private health insurrance,
not in the national social security. At least not in France, Germany, or Spain, of which I know it.
It's the health insurrance we're discussing here. Pre-conditions are only relevant if one changes from the public health insurrance, which is part of the social security, to a private one.
Social Security does want to know of a new enrollee in Part B is a smoker, but only because the plan pays for smoking cessation programs. There’s no added cost to the enrollee.
I hate to state the obvious, but if you entrust your healthcare to private companies and then moan about them seeking profit, you are a couple of shillings short of a pound.
It sucks don't it? did you vote progressive? did you make campaign calls, did you donate a dollar? I know I'm asking pointed questions like im mad, but i'm not mad just pointing out that we should all do more than just be keyboard warriors.
The beauty of the United States - blue collar and middle class people backing policies and politicians whose only objective is to stiff them and plant it in their “bun”.
It's only in the US because it never works if you can buy health insurance only after you get sick. Everywhere else, everyone is covered, from birth to death. Only in the US do we have for-profit health insurance as the only option for most people.
By the time something is diagnosed, it has been in your body for sometime. So yes, by that logic, everything is preexisting. Take my premium money, pay nothing, and happy bonus health insurance executives!

Most of our travel insurers are owned by amercian companies.
But hey, “Ain’t that America, ….”
They want future soldiers, not citizens.
The alternative to "no pre-existing conditions" is paying a premium based on your "pre-existing conditions".
Or universal healthcare, but that's just communist right?
I grew up with you in my life!
As in car insurance industry.
