I know it's slow, but what's important to keep in mind is that this is a build up! The big thing is not happening in this expansion. I think it's better to just go with the flow and enjoy the little things!

The Dark Heart has been being built up since May 2nd 2023. It is March 4th 2025. I don’t feel it’s unreasonable to call that too long to wait for something to happen.

And I can enjoy the little things while having valid criticisms.

I don't know if this was their intention or I am giving Blizzard the most good faith reading, but maybe they are going to make the Dark Heart just a relic that everyone wants to get and it will keep changing hands. The hunt for the relic, the race between characters to get it being the story itself?

Yeaaah like it is not clear if that's what they are going for or they are stalling it to fill up content so this expansion can be worth the players time and money. Cause that constant "What will it be? Find out next time..." Moffat in BBC Sherlock kinda thing will get tired and noticeable

The pacing and structure is really really weird. I feel like they didn’t really decide on a primary conflict for TWW even, if that makes sense? Like what exactly is our goal? I’ve seen people say it’s to get to the Worldsoul, and that would make sense but it doesn’t read that way lol

… I want to be nice but like. I would argue it’s worse? 😬 MCU post credit scenes usually reveal something, or mean something to the viewer. The way WoW’s been doing it, there’s not even any meaning to draw from. That void vortex at the end means nothing to me, so the reveal was kind of nothing.
