It's great that you found a library that works so well for you! I personally prefer building my own. It allows me to optimize every component for performance and maintain a super clean codebase. Tailored solutions can be incredibly powerful.

We’re busy switching to ShadCN-Vue, and in the process ditching our home grown design system that’s cost of hundreds of wasted hours.

ShadCN-Vue is absolutely fantastic. Loving it and wish we had never tried to roll our own. You live and learn. 🤷‍♂️

I think, just like most things in development, it's good to roll your own in order to understand the benefits/inner workings of a more established library

I've done the same many times over the years, but at this point I think I'll just reach for something battle tested, enjoying shadcn Vue too!

Our team of 1 designer and 4 developers doing a host of other things can’t possibly match the hours and results of something like ShadCN.
