Weak... they don't have the manpower and no other nation is going to commit to troops on the ground in the Ukraine. Now tell me how they can win...FYI I would like them to win but don't see it happening.
If you’re curious in my opinion, then here it is- while UA has some serious issues with manpower and C2 (on some directions), RU is wasting too much manpower, disproportional to territorial gains they are currently achieving. Financially, RU is in extremely dire place. I can expand more if you like?
RU is still using the same tactics from WW2 so they accept the losses. They can replace them but the Ukraine can't. Tell me your take on the finance sector.
There’s more to your take, in terms of both tactics and war of attrition in general. But the later ties with huge manpower shortage of 1M+ workers in RU economy, inflation (8.5% average, 22 % food/fast moving consumer goods). As well as budget deficit of ₽ 3T, which threatens to deplete RU war chest
Trump is going to force the peace angle hard. Europe would sell out the Ukraine in a heartbeat for peace but can't say it in public. As for Rusia economics: they have enough friends to weather out the storm and have already proven it.
If there is one thing trump is going to do is throw allies under the bus, as w/ Kurds. EU (or at least some states) understand that US isn’t to be relied on, under incoming admin. I think they realize what’s on the table. As for RU allies, it’s a lot less than you realize, more Of Frienemies lol
Not really factors as all the sanctions did nothing. Europe's economies are on much shakier grounds than Russia. China has a major interest in Russia winning as they want to force their presence on Europe by backing Russia to the hilt. Ukraine wasted it's military early on and has no depth.
Think you haven’t been following RU MINFIN reports for past 3 years. Sanctions are doing a lot more than you’re realizing, it in itself is a subject for a separate discussion. As for CN, it has its own interests, and while it doesn’t want RU to lose, CN is interested in RU being weak, vassal state.
