I get the reference, but the combat in Witcher 3 was more like The Three Stooges where one guy takes a swing at another guy that clearly doesn't connect, but the sound effect communicates contact supposedly happened.
Hey I come from the old CRPG lineage, just seeing them pretend to hit each other is already a big deal. If they actually connected that might be a bit too exciting for me 😅
I think the perception of the Witcher would be a lot different without any romance in the game. Better yet if Geralt was gay. The writing gets praised, but other than HOS dlc, I thought it was pretty generic.
I think the Witcher 3 is a great game and people should play it. I don't enjoy it myself. But it's a great game. I'm not being sarcastic of facetious, this is legitimately how I feel about Witcher 3. It's great, but I don't enjoy it.
I don't hate it; it just ends up being the target of a lot of criticism within my videos largely because it has such a massive scope which leads to a bunch of different issues (combat, quest/world design, etc.).
