You mean like the gay man in charge of our economy? You mean like the actual african-American helping cut all of the ridiculous spending? You mean like the two women currently holding cabinet positions?
What people don't understand is that the Diversity part of DEI is actually the highlighting of how to get along with others that are not like you. From Bubba in Little Informed County to Hakeem in the Hood. It's about getting along with each other and also helps productivity in the workplace.
Yes. Being privileged doesn’t mean your life is easy or easier, it means your life has not been made more difficult BECAUSE of the colour of your skin. Think about the difference, there was a moment in my life it hit me too and I forever understood the difference. It was eye opening. 🙏
Going back to my example of the white male homeless people. It is in fact more difficult for these people to get off the streets because everyone assumes that they are privileged. And that is the problem, the assumptions.
