The biggest problem we have in forming opposition to the right wing media ecosystem is that we don’t have the money that they do. Citizens United allowed them to expand beyond their wildest dreams.

The messaging needs to be dumbed down and direct to what people are complaining about. If they're on about high gas & food prices, don't try to respond with a 30 minute in depth podcast. It needs to simple and unified. Something like- "Big corporations are gouging and we're going to go after them".

Excellent article! I would also argue that the purchase of Twitter/X in 2022 basically made it harder for the organization of a resistance. To that end, I would argue continued support here would allow for better organization of the New Resistance.

I would make messaging the priority. Addressing their lies immediately and effectively. We can’t keep being above fighting back. We have to answer by countering every single piece of propaganda while broadcasting our accomplishments and goals. Ty for keeping the subject out front.

Reality check:
These grand jury indictments were dismissed ‘without prejudice’ which means trump will face these charges when he leaves office.

Will trump peacefully step down in 4 years and accept accountability for these crimes he has been indicted for?

Maybe the tent is too big and people can't make sense of what it stands for. I hate that we have to dumb things down but maybe we should pick four main topics and provide ways for people to dig deeper if they wish.

Still concerned with the diminishing conversation (and absolutely no action) around why Dems have lost credibility with poor men, the working class, Latinos, black men, etc.

Fail to reckon with this, and the resistance will be lonely and long.

I think that his priority of electing solid candidates nation wide who will keep the people first and foremost in their thoughts and actions is a very valid point.

Something must be done however, about those candidates who, once elected, dupe the voters by switching parties. Voters who elect candidates on good faith feel betrayed when they are told your votes did not matter.

I hope this means you're open to conversations with people more towards the center (Pod Save bros, etc) they have great debates. A crossover episode where you and they have a full on (friendly) debate discussing everything you disagree with will be extremely informative.

I think they're coming to that realization. In any case, dialogue can help them shift too! Abandoning conversations without offering alternative ideas is how echo chambers come to be (Assuming topics are approached in good faith). And even if they don't change their minds, their listeners may.
