It still bothers me that we never found out who removed the panic buttons, who unlocked windows, what happened to those who gave “tours” or the members of Congress who were at The Willard. It does seem like many skated. Surely their phone records showed coordination. Were they all innocent?
He sure did. Subpoenas were issued by Garland for members of congress, rally organizers, the “kraken strikeforce”, and he even seized Scott Perry’s phone. All in 2021.
It depends on the person. Many of the president's advisors were lawyers. Remember the fights over privilege? Others like Graham weaseled out via speech & debate. Eastman lost his license to practice. Also, the J6 committee held up the transcripts from DOJ for some that received subpoenas.
Obviously this is all in hindsight, but do you think anything could have been done differently that would have changed the result, or is SCOTUS so corrupt that regardless of any action by Garland, we would be in the same position we currently find ourselves?
So do you think those investigations are still open? Won’t they all just disappear with the incoming regime?
Or, were they investigated but not enough evidence to go forward?
Just curious your thoughts.
Nearly ALL the panic buttons were removed as part of the standard office moves and rearrangement that occurs when a new house is seated … it is a normal thing performed by the contractor in order to move office furniture …
No. Throwing people in jail without evidence for non violent crimes is not the right thing to do. You have to investigate. Get evidence. Then go to a grand jury and secure an indictment. Then there’s a trial. THEN there’s sentencing.
Is there a reason we saw no action toward any Congress people? Did a grand jury find insufficient evidence or were they not investigated? There’s a pretty big difference in the everyday person’s mind.
Not during a coup. Not if you want to continue to have a country.
They did what you are advocating for and this is the result you get when you try to handle an abnormal coup situation with the normal slow motion government process. It failed.
Lincoln suspended habeas corpus during the Civil War, and he was called a tyrant because of it. But it allowed him to maintain control and save the union.
What crimes committed by members of Congress were shown live on TV that day? As far as I can tell, the crimes shown live on TV were the crimes of the foot soldiers. And many were arrested shortly after the insurrection. This person wants to know why members of congress weren’t arrested on day one
They were on closed circuit tv showing them around the Capitol tours the day before. MTG and Boebert were both inciting 1776 style revolution on their sosh accounts. Boebert was giving away Nancy Pelosi's location. MTG posted about their secret meeting. There was plenty done right out in the open.
I wasn't advocating for bypassing the rule of law, only actually upholding it. At least from the outside it appears the DOJ didn't even open an investigation into sitting members of Congress who helped the insurrection.
I’m not sure where you get your information but Garland opened a probe into the members of Congress (at least one that we know of) in 2021. He even managed to seize Scott Perry’s phone despite the FBI refusing to execute the search warrant. Garland used post office cops. Kinda cool.
I think the problem for most of us is that we were getting our info from MSM, which we discovered were already "laundering" facts. It's great that we have more independent journalists to rely on for actual facts. I try to discover for myself, but I don't have the access that true journalists have.

How in HELL could they still not know.
Literally, nothing here to see …

Now states need to push for #NationalDivorce.
The wrong thing to do is become judge, jury and executioner — which is what you're advocating should've happened instead.
You can always elect to be a vigilante — just don't expect us to defend your indefensible actions.
