No. Throwing people in jail without evidence for non violent crimes is not the right thing to do. You have to investigate. Get evidence. Then go to a grand jury and secure an indictment. Then there’s a trial. THEN there’s sentencing.

Is there a reason we saw no action toward any Congress people? Did a grand jury find insufficient evidence or were they not investigated? There’s a pretty big difference in the everyday person’s mind.
Thats because SCOTUS picks and chooses what it wants to rule on since its an institution that begat its own existence in its current form. Its power is derived from the legal industrial complex, not the people in any way, shape or form, and rightfully it needs to either
Not during a coup. Not if you want to continue to have a country.
They did what you are advocating for and this is the result you get when you try to handle an abnormal coup situation with the normal slow motion government process. It failed.
Lincoln suspended habeas corpus during the Civil War, and he was called a tyrant because of it. But it allowed him to maintain control and save the union.
What crimes committed by members of Congress were shown live on TV that day? As far as I can tell, the crimes shown live on TV were the crimes of the foot soldiers. And many were arrested shortly after the insurrection. This person wants to know why members of congress weren’t arrested on day one
They were on closed circuit tv showing them around the Capitol tours the day before. MTG and Boebert were both inciting 1776 style revolution on their sosh accounts. Boebert was giving away Nancy Pelosi's location. MTG posted about their secret meeting. There was plenty done right out in the open.
I wasn't advocating for bypassing the rule of law, only actually upholding it. At least from the outside it appears the DOJ didn't even open an investigation into sitting members of Congress who helped the insurrection.
I’m not sure where you get your information but Garland opened a probe into the members of Congress (at least one that we know of) in 2021. He even managed to seize Scott Perry’s phone despite the FBI refusing to execute the search warrant. Garland used post office cops. Kinda cool.
I think the problem for most of us is that we were getting our info from MSM, which we discovered were already "laundering" facts. It's great that we have more independent journalists to rely on for actual facts. I try to discover for myself, but I don't have the access that true journalists have.

Now states need to push for #NationalDivorce.
