The whole thing is being misreported - it’s not a buyout. They still have to work through 9/30. It’s merely an exemption from the in-person work requirement.

Good that the union will fight the bullshit, but legal battles take years. I had hoped to stay in federal service for years to come, but I’m probably out. I made it through his first term and cannot believe we are back here, worse off than before
