2 seed in 22-23, kinda unpredictable but back from injuries + Edey they look nasty.
Ja, Smart and Bane didn't play 82 games combined so I don't think you can go off last year for anything.
What I can go off of last year is all of these other teams in the West improved and I think few of those teams besides the LA teams really dropped off. Memphis has a lot of teams to vault past now. I think it's easier said than done with all the talent around.
My problem when I was ranking all the teams in the West was there were just so many good teams that I couldn't find room for Memphis to jump back into the top 4 or even top 8. OKC will be better, Dallas & Minnesota will at least be as good as last year
I think Denver will still be a 50-win team, Phoenix should be better than last year, I think Sacramento won't cede much room, and Houston will improve. All of a sudden we're into the play-in zone already.
Memphis was a tough team to place for me. From the glimpses last year, it would be a hard sell putting them lower than Sacramento and Houston. Play-in as the 7th seed is much different than 10th seed. I get you though they're a year behind in development in a verrrrry competitive conference.
