I understand you want to create enthusiasm so lots of people use this important new feature💗 We're so proud of the team for prioritizing age ver, such an exciting direction for vrc🌸 but please consider doing your hype campaign ~after~ it's actually available to everyone, this tension is just awkward
This! I saw the post and was confused thinking it had been rolled out. Spent some time trying to find out how to do it only to learn it was not possible for me (and most users) to do at this time.
While I would like this feature in online environments, I believe there is a better way to go about it other than giving yet another company my extremely personal information with a pinky promise not to loose it and no recourse if it is lost.

Would've been easy to put everyone that didn't get picked groups-wise on a little email list and bcc us a message like, "Hey we didn't forget about you, we're rolling this out slowly" giving us some kinda timeline. Weird to wake up to this and have to figure out what groups I'm in supporting it. 1/2
I have to basically tell my community 🤷♀️ re: verified 18+ events. I understand you're a small company but like, we need you guys to be very pro about this kinda stuff and this rollout was... messy, from my perspective. Glad its here. Happy. But continually disappointed in how things get handled 2/2

Bad information in the announcement. Overlooking the partner orgs partners. An initially kinda lack luster privacy policy until updated to include hashing the PII, and now a mad dash by the community to get the red tag and brag online from rdm groups
I find it very difficult to be trusting of your decisions as an organization, when every step of the way with this information was badly packaged and potentially wrong in many situations, including the current grammatical errors in the privacy policy lol.
this isn’t an isolated incident either. It seems like almost a biannual occurrence that some big new thing comes to VRC but the rollout is filled with uncertainty and speculation from either bad or no information being provided, or a lack of forethought. EAC rollout, stickers, Udon 2’s death, etc.
Honest request: next time could you explain that in the post? I read it, was confused thinking the feature was out, went to get things set up, then couldn't find any information anywhere.
Nah, I read the updates. What I am asking is for them to do better with communicating with groups that didn't get chosen for the beta as to when we'd be able to adopt as well. You didn't read my posts and just jumped to the most negative conclusion. Have a good one.
They don't know when it'll be available for everyone because it depends on how the beta goes, as they've already stated weeks ago. Soon it will be available for everyone.
nah they rolled the beta out poorly anyway, there were no updates, info or instructions how to get verified or even who to ask that would have links to verify. its very "if you know you know" and anyone else unintentionally got told to kick rocks
Lol what is this FOMO bullshit? Either release it for all or don't, but don't make people feel left out for not joining random groups to get the badge.
Got the thing that says get verified on my profile but when I press it nothing happens I'm in a lot of groups but I guess none of those groups are part of the select few 🙃
allowing 2 accts to ID verify with the same ID is dangerous. 100% opens the door for minors reusing an approved ID. Also, (not saying this is you) malicious users operate on alts to ban evade. Reducing the number of duplicate accounts is a good thing! Perhaps there's a new solution to be explored?
