i haven't really orca posted on here but i'm genuinely incredibly passionate about orca freedom and protection. i am glad a lot of orca breeding programs have been stopped, and aquatic entertainment places are getting rid of their orca programs in the USA but we are so far from real orca liberation - ThreadSky

I love orca as well I was huge fan of the free willy movie growing up I used to draw and make up stories that i turned into books. I follow the keiko the whale from the movie I remember hearing he got released but I don’t know anything more about him.

keiko did get released! unfortunately he died of pneumonia but i was thrilled he got to live in the open sea for a bit. his stories a little sad cus he in the end stayed closer to humans than orcas bcos he knew them. keiko is kind of a hero all around because he brought attention to orcas.

some orcas were abandoned to live in disgusting, too small tanks once the US started being against orca shows such as Toki (known as Lolita) in Miami. And there she spent her entire life until she died. And outside the US orca capturing and orca shows are very much alive and thriving.

There is no reason for any of it, Orcas aren't clowns you can train to do tricks. You make them depressed, sad, and angry - they also don't live as long in captivity. They need to be with their families! Orcas in the wild do not leave their families for the entire duration of their lives and it -

breaks my heart so bad knowing even today Orca babies are being ripped from their mothers who will never forget the child she lost for as long as she lived. They're too smart. Leave them alone 😭

they're so beautiful 😭 i hope to see one in person in the wild one day (i won't visit an orca show for obvious reasons lol) for now i just watch videos of them being majestic in nature

Absolutely! I support the conservation efforts but never 'for profit' organizations when it comes to wildlife and captivity
