Houston said N.S. was “open for business” to mining investors from everywhere. At the same time, Mi’kmaq Chiefs were sending Houston a powerful letter, saying this message was not his to give on their unceded land. They supported fracking and uranium mining bans and strongly rebuked the premier.. /2

So scary, vetting processes seem non existent now with the mad rush to make things happen. Sure hope we don’t have a litany of bad actors arriving in Nova Scotia to make a mint off the backs and under the feet of Nova Scotians. I keep hearing the expression carpet baggers heaven!
