I'm in the middle of transitioning some days riding experience to blender. The difference from Maya that messed me up is that the controls are also bones, but you customize the appearance of them later. Did you have any specific questions?
Not unintuitive at all! Just different. I'm rigging this one gun for use in L4D2 and struggling with having a couple of parts follow another. The bone setup is probably very easy but I can't figure it out with Blender's unidirectional bones and joints system
