Honestly shocked by how low "Sports" is given how seemingly popular certain series are like Haikyuu and Blue Lock are. But I just got to keep reminding myself that my perception does not equal reality. Also....happy to see Isekai do high, it may be full of trash, but good thing I love that trash

So much of what I've seen in modern anime, feels like a they are largely a mix of the top 3 types, action, isekai, and fantasy. It just feels like Shōnen to me, and it's off-putting to say the least, unfortunately. I'm not a great demographic to interact with this at all though, since I've also

struggled to find interest in modern anime (pretty much post 2008), it just doesn't resonate with me. I think the newest series I enjoyed at all was Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, and that came out in 2017.
