I think a reason so many elites are on board with trump is that nepotism and "legacy" admissions are what enabled them to be on top, and DEI can only cut into those places because the genuinely talented people are more necessary than the brother of the person who let trump university off the hook

This is Trump's concept of justice, though. He needs to see the attorney general on TV multiple times a day praising him. Depoliticizing the DOJ is removing the impartiality. He who saves his country does not violate any law. What he says is the law.

We're getting to the point where the justice system doesn't work at all. And then people realize the purpose of the system isn't to punish criminals - it's so grandparents believe their is a more peaceful alternative to their instinct to go John Wick on every threat to the grandkids.
