In my experience of working in a few departments within a hospital, dealing with the GPs can be ridiculous - have experience the typical "YOU LOST IT!" convos very quickly replaced with "...oh I thought we'd sent it...". 9/10 you're better off nagging the GP until they do what they said they'd do

I've sent the GP an Email with the email from Notts forwarded in it. Hopefully thata enough to get them to do some basic admin work.

Hopefully, at the same time give them a week and forward that email again, everybody deserves the care here quite rightfully entitled to, and an administrative team shouldn't be the barrier to it

When I was getting my referralfrom my GP, I actually printed out all the forms from the GIC Clinics website and took those in as they were telling me they were unsure how to go about the referral, I had to do their job for them.

It's a wonder how some people haven't been properly trained in administrative processes properly...again a very common issue (my current job is to find those administrative issues and bring people back in to receive the care they deserve)

It's frustrating solving problems then finding the same patients id already solved previously. Some go round in circles but we also take those repeats and set up training sessions to train admin staff why we've found it twice (basically point out what they're doing wrong, in a nice way)

Dunno, these are the same people who told my private endo they couldn't prescribe and monitor basic HRT

The North Eastern one was closed to referrals because they can't handle the current number of patients.

Out of the others Notts was the closest that didn't have an insane waiting list.

Thats fair, Notts took about 2.5 years just for 1st appointment for me. compared to some of the numbers in the UK it's not bad.

Honestly I read through the prescribing guidance the Endo sent, it basically boiled down to keep T below this value and E above this value.

It seemed like fairly basic medicine that I'm sure they could do if it was asked for a cis person.

Hell I know a few Trans girls that do it themselves.

That was sorta how I was doing things before I got a provider and started doing it 'properly'. So much of it is still organising appointments etc myself but with actual guidance and Dr's involved. It's not great really, but damn site better than waiting for the NHS to get to you sadly.
