Given how many people in positions of power have stood by Trump while he's repeatedly violated laws that are plainly written, up to and including stealing classified documents, I wonder what court you think these SCOTUS justices could be tried in, based on laws that don't exist.

SCOTUS has watered down anti-bribery laws to the point where, lacking an explicit quid pro quo, what you have here is only justices violating standards of ethics _that were explicitly written to exclude the highest court_.

And then there would be the PR backlash.
