I am a gardening friend. I am basically too old to use seed. I want to see it grown. I buy plants. Shade plants. No veggies as my shade comes with squirrels who eat everything edible.

A recent, informative trip to Epcot’s behind the seeds tour. This is the spring I will try hydroponic gardening.
I keep Orchids and have a beauty that has been blooming consistently for six months. I am in love with exotic flowers and roses.

I grabbed a bunch a my local garden center. Libraries sometimes have a catalog. But nothing groups or seed exchanges (like a quilting bee, sorta.)

No single source has all the varieties that have worked for me. Mostly I use Burpee, Gurney's and Shumway's. I've had problems with orders and bad seed from Johnny's.

I buy mine from a local nursery that specializes in native plants. I give the extras to my library seed bank. I've got my early crops planted indoors so they'll be ready when they can go out.

We have a seed library at all 3 branches of my local library. People are encouraged to take what they want, up to 6 packs per patron, people are encouraged to donate seeds as well to keep it going.
