If you have a visa, Under Section 222(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, if you overstay, your visa is automatically void.

Overstaying makes you removable (deportable) by ICE.

It does not matter if you’ve have not committed a crime.

Not having a visa (illegal entry) gets the same.

This treatment is so incredibly inhumane. I can only imagine how horrible it is to be experiencing these conditions. No one deserves this. The story from the Canadian actress specifically points out no one on the entire unit had a criminal record. There's no due process, no proof of gang activity.

2. LEAST amount of motivation or concern for whether they are treating the detainees with respect and dignity.
