I bought a field guide to "Birds of the Mesozoic" in Malaprop Books. A field guide to lost birds sounds like a talismanic object and also appeals to my sense of whimsy.

If you don't understand why I absolutely could not leave the bookstore without it, you will probably find me baffling in general.
