Yeah, those are instantly what came to mind when I saw this. I've had them one time in high school when another student fried some as part of a demonstration.
Partly because people didn't always eat half a pound of cheese as a meal (losers), but also because these were shelf-stable kits from old manufacturers which specialized in products not needing refrigerated ingredients (only dry grated). But even suggested addition photos had little cheese.
Bluesky apparently failed at uploading 2nd picture. Here's both a box photo apparently showing add-on solid cheese in low quantity, and a disgusting tuna suggestion (canned I assume) without cheese blanket.
