back on fanfic forums I did try to "fix" designs and stories but then I gradually realized that realized that at a certain point you're not fixing it you're just changing art to fit your personal tastes.

While I think Bluepoint unquestionably have a LOT of technical skill on their team, when it comes to art direction they made damn near the wrong decision every single time when it came to adapting DeS. From the lighting to character designs and even music, every change they made makes DeS worse imo

Theyve shown this lack of care in the shadow of the colossus remake as well, changing the core aesthetics of the original in order to appear more "next gen" and modern, or assuming the original devs surely intended to do something "better" at the time. disrespectful imo
