It's in feeds, it gets reposted by other people I follow, it's just anywhere and everywhere. Lotta shouting at the anti-porn brigade, and for good reason, but it's hard to tell them to just not opt into seeing it when the lack of labels issue is this far-reaching and prevents not seeing it, IMO.

I know right! the label button is literally right there as your about to upload an image and they just be lazy and just not label it. at this point if I see nsfw when I have SFW mode on im gona report it as unlabeled.

I report so many things every day, and I guess the site being more populated now means that it doesn't get handled nearly as quickly. It's not fair. There's nothing I can do. I simply have to see porn when I don't want to see it because these people can't be assed, I guess.

TBF the moderation tools are strong to help filter most of it out when I have SFW mode on i only see like maybe one or two nsfw stuff but thats it.

I also wonder if it partially has to do with the automod thing; it likes to slap adult labels on things, but sometimes it just COMPLETELY misses the mark even if there's a Genital™ in plain view (or vice versa, labels a sfw thing as nsfw). I could see that making people go "nah, automod'll get it".

Not that i in any way approve of that level of laziness. For one, there ARE minors on this platform, and people not labeling their lewd art implicitly means they don't care about showing it to minors (whether or not that's their stance). Fun fact! Giving pornography to minors is generally illegal!

I suspect it's a leftover from Twitter.

People are worried that they may be punished by a shadowy algorithm for labelling their images as adult, when the opposite is the case - NSFW feeds may rely on them being labelled NSFW to pick them up.

this is 100% it. i see people censoring terms all the time and it makes it harder to keep them out of the stuff i see.

ppl like to pretend that self-censorship is just a made-up tiktok thing but its pervasive throughout most social media these days. ppl wouldnt do it if they didnt think they had to
