Three people I know in my age group (late thirties/early forties) have recently had strokes. Two others in the same age group have had heart attacks. A close relative the same age had a blood clot on her lung and developed sepsis. All following Covid. It’s actually terrifying.

Not to mention the amount of children at our school who have been hospitalised over the last few years - I don't remember healthy children being hospitalised with respiratory problems and "mystery illnesses" like this before, and no other parents I know are questioning it.

True, but covid, even with few noticeable symptoms, hits the body making cardiovascular problems more likely for 18 months or possibly more after the infection. Almost everyone has a base line of at least one covid attack since 2020. A series of infections increases likelihood of cardiovascular

Covid will likely add more complexity to diagnosis for a very long time, very sadly. What was learnt from aftermath of the Spanish Flu pandemic indicates ripples from SARS2 / covid-19 will run through to the end of this century. Unless much more is done to prevent transmission, minimise viral
