Do we have an idea why? I'm surprised to see the numbers being so low this time of year. Could it be because of data access? I'm confused.

Wastewater tracking has been low as well. That's your earliest indication, so numbers are probably right. Our local area is showing a recent uptick, typical after the holidays, how high it goes is the big question

My husband’s sister passed away on Monday. My husband and her 4 children sat with her for 24hrs. All are ill. Not COVID thankfully but another respiratory virus. I gave him an FFP3 mask. He didn’t wear it because no one else in the entire A&E dept wore a mask. Such sadness

I can't imagine that this data is reliable anymore. It wasn't awesome when we were at peak collection efforts and now we really, really are not effectively gathering reliable data on COVID.

The underreporting is extensive.

Seems to me the holidays are a perfect time to have a spike lit since everyone’s getting together. That’s when I got it. But I got it from the Taxi in Miami. I wore a mask on the plane, the airport, costco, and my folks mega church.
