Which one is your favourite Doctor?
I’m probably Tom Baker, but Ncuti Gatwa is an inspired choice…

I started watching in 1963! 👨🏻🦳
You may need a long life to get through every episode… 😄
It’s a journey! ✨
It’s like David Niven and James Bond…
David Niven's Bond was genius; a spoof of all the other Bond movies, none of which had even been made yet. 😆
On the radio in the 50s.
Moonraker.
Well remembered, Tim! 👍🏻
Also Peter Capali, the scripts weren't great but my god what an actor he is, when his episodes are good, they are good.
They're both my doctors growing up, so maybe showing my age here!
I'd also like to add the Caretaker and the episode where a forest springs up in London as two of the great ones :)
Crispy Pancakes.
The series needed a new way forward…
"I have a black belt in Venusian Karate you know," and giving them a wallop.
None of this namby pamby running away all the time.
He did it all in such a posh voice too!😃
But Chris Eccleston did a great job of rebooting the idea and recreating the character, after so many years. Best one-liner ever: "Lots of planets have a North!"
This probably highlights our advancing years, Tony!
I remember watching Dr Who in black and white as well! 😁 📺
I remember watching William Hartnell from behind the sofa, and I still very much enjoy the latest incarnation.. 😃
I enjoyed Paul McGann’s one visual outing too, it was so welcome in the middle of the long outage 😊
Old money: Tom Baker
New money: Peter Capaldi
*New* new money: Well, it has to be Ncuti Gatwa!
David Tennant left a lasting impression. I loved the whole different vibe of Jodie's era! 💖 Matt Smith was zany, versatile & deft.
Always feel a little sorry for the 1980s Doctors 'cos it was clear they were trying to kill the show back then. 😢
Not too sure about the scripts though..
Great escapism, of course! 👍🏻
Without that explanation it would be just a memory by now…
Afternoon, Kev.
I really liked Ecclestone and Tennant - but Matt Smith irked me in the role ( I like him as an actor though)
Like yourself, I’d say he’s lost the plot!
Enjoyed Jodie Whittaker, too, but haven't seen any of the latest one yet but heard good things.
Check out the latest offering because he’s great!
Yes.
BCE - Tom Baker
CE - David Tennant
In the reboot the writing was best with original Tennant.
I have high hopes for Ncuti if the first one was anything to go by.
💕

With you there…😃
The best Dr. Who we never had is Michelle Gomez.
A difficult transition to write though!
