There's not much limit to how far Disney could attempt to go with this. It might be a clause in every Disney contract now, for all we know. If you as an actor take issue with it and question it you'll probably hear "Well James Earl Jones was okay wtih it" back from them.
While I disagree with AI voice acting and would infinitely prefer a real human to take over the role, James Earl Jones specifically worked with Disney and LucasFilm to create an AI duplicate of his voice and signed a license for his voice to be used. This isn't a defense, it's an explanation.
