Browser support is far from perfect atm, but as I show in the video in the previous post, the polyfill is great. https://buff.ly/40V0fT6

The polyfill is still not stable though so use it just to experiment for now. I’ve been enabling and updating it in CI at work every month or so and it still breaks hundreds of specs.

I haven’t had time to make a detailed report to help them out though.

They have a limitations section in the repo for what doesn't work. They paused work on it while the spec was being changed.

I made sure to mention in my video that it is currently limited, and showed what we can safely use right now ☺️

Nice! I’m very eager for it to be stable. Anchor positioning is such a game changer. Specially when paired with elements in the top layer.

btw: anchor positioning seems to work fine in recent FF and Safari if the element is a child of the anchor.
Might be useful to know for your listeners.

The HTML anchor attribute will be really handy for dynamic content when it gets support.
