During my livestream yesterday, I talked about Figma Sites for a little bit. I've broken it off into a short, stand-alone video.
I don't normally like bashing a company, but when a company of Figma's size makes a product this bad, I think it's important to call them out on it.

Impossible for any product to do it right.
It is simpler to learn basic html and css to do basic stuff manually and you totally have to forget to do complex stuff this way.
A billion $$ company can and should do better.
Thanks for taking the time to really break this down.
I just want to acknowledge that the accessibility of web sites built using the Figma Sites beta is not where it should be.

Good to see that it's being acknowledged, and things are going to be done about it.
When you make it fully available, it should be *almost* there with some kinks to work out, not a proof of concept.
If I open Figma, I see a Sites tab. I can go there and start making stuff. To me, that means they're telling me it's ready for me to do that, which it's far from.
But they screwed the launch of this very badly, and it's a bit worrisome that they didn't have the checks in place that would have made this go over better.

It can sting a little when we’ve let people down, but we appreciate it just the same. At the end of the day, all the folks here put in the time and energy on Figma because we want to make a tool that you really love.

I'm guessing there's some exporting jiggery pokery to work out and say 'this is the last character in this bit of content (why not slap a span around it too)'
The enshittening of the internet is accelerating and it's frankly terrifying.
