the existence of Yuki has always been controversial among Iori/Kyo fans bc, SNK didn't make any afford to make Kyo and Yuki's relationship feel real. There is no chemistry between them and Yuki slowly fell in the background over the years... 😩 even Ureshino talked about this on his blog.
There's less screen time for Yuki, which is understandable since she's only playable in a spin-off, and I kinda see why some fans like the Iori/Kyo ship - I just don't see much drive from the Kyo side of things, unless folks interpret his cocky retorts as some form of flirting...
idk for sure but I always thought juri was one of those "mostly undertones" characters. like one of those things where she likes boobs and flirts but they wont outright confirm that shes bi or gay.
The FGC has changed a lot. I joined in 2004 and it was diverse but all straight men essentially. Now the best MK player is a gay furry and half of Guilty Gear’s top players are trans women.
Weirdly enough I feel the opposite but not just on the LGBT stuff just kinda in general I like having head cannon stuff so the character feels more.... Mine if you understand what I'm saying

And then there's the whole Miss X factor...
Lookin' at *you*, mobile rhythm games
Marisa is confirmed in game at least which is nice
...
or lesbian, now that I think about it I don't recall her ever showing attraction to a man
I mean, they don't even have to say it explicitly when it's as is in the games
There's no flirting with Chun-Li or Cammy in 6?
Stop being cowards game devs the FGC is queer as fuck the people you'll piss off aren't worth having around anyway
My queer ass didn't feel so welcome during my FGC years.
Can't say I'm sure when exactly the shift started happening beyond "within the last like decade" but Bridget in Strive did a surprisingly large amount
Yeah but I don't have the brain cells to play Tekken (or any fighting game tbh)
