A load of This Is Us style parallel storytelling structural gimmicks. We see a sweet young wizard waiting for his letter and he turns out to be Voldemort in flashback, etc etc
I can think of so many annoying ideas. Whole episode following one of the ghosts around and the main plot happens in the background. Nicholas Flamel prequel arc. Later on, lean into the Malfoy/Hermione shippers a bit. etc
What's oddly compelling about it is that I can think of so many *bad* ways to turn a tightly plotted school story into a, at a minimum, six hour TV first series. I really don't think there is a *good* way to do it though.
The problem is, the second you expand the universe out into the adult world of magical politics, war, death eaters, etc, the concept of Harry and his 11 year old schoolchums as a major participant in the meta-plot reveals itself to be totally ridiculous and it all falls apart
The thing is, you can do it well. The HBO/BBC His Dark Materials adaptations showed lots of Will/Asriel/Coulter/the Magisterium that is only alluded to in the books, and it was enjoyable! But they also squished 4 series worth of TV into 3, rather than stretching 4 or 5 out to 10 🤷🏼♂️
We'll get neverending sparring matches between the Muggle PM and Minister for Magic. Multiple episodes of flashback to James Potter humiliating Snape for kicks. Exceptionally hamfisted looks into Cho Chang's family life.

The Thick of it Spin off.
Have the Minister explain to Malcom Tucker why you thought having the Dementors guard the death eaters was a good idea.
