The locals didn't like this, but the police essentially did nothing to clear these fascists out, nor arrest the illegally smuggled in American Nazis that attended it

So what did the locals do, fed up with it and the lack of police response? They met at the village pub, armed themselves with guns and bats, and launched an assault on the camp, pretty much destroyed the lot, and kicked the Nazis out.

It's a place that should be proud of its history. That's an example for how to respond to the far right. Make sure they never come back.

(Also I thoroughly recommend the café, they do really tasty food)

The church there has a really fine Norman doorway if you're in to medieval architecture. And a few surviving medieval coffins inside too
