It's cuz they typically ALWAYS grew up in wealth. If a poor person got billions, they'd absolutely use that money for good, they're grounded to their own communities. I can't imagine having BILLIONS and just...not helping people with it.

Make a high speed rail line. End world hunger. Solve the energy crisis. Fund universal basic income. House the homeless. Repair roads and fund public transit. Make college free. Bring back public libraries.

All things billionaires could do that would make them historically famous for generations.
