I realized the other day that every time I pick the kids up from school, I greet them with a big exaggerated Howdy (like “Haaoowdee!!!”). It is, as far as I know, the only time I ever use the word. I think I’ve been doing it for years—honestly not sure because it just flies out of my mouth.
