It’ll be interesting to see the ratings from tonight’s tv and just how much BBC dominated the other channels.

In addition I think it showed how streaming works in tandem. You could pause and catch up when you needed. But has been incredible

In a throwback to my 70s childhood, BBC was locked in from 2pm till midnight (sneaked in Morecambe and Wise from 77 on BBC2 to complete the evening!)

If anything it was too cluttered- and it’s been years since we’ve been able to say that.
But … the core has been the same for a decade - Strictly, Who, Midwife, Enders and Mrs Brown.
The upswing has been axing the Pixar premiere and two feature-length big shows in W&G and G&S…

I would have scheduled a bit differently, and moved Midwife to Christmas Eve:
3.10 Minions
4.40 Strictly
5.30 Dr Who
6.30 W&G
7.50 EastEnders
8.20 G&S
9.50 EastEnders
10.20 News
10.30 Mrs Brown
11 On Christmas Night
11.05 late film

It just doesn’t feel as crampt.
Anyway, ratings will be 👍

Today was brilliant. Underwhelmed by most of the rest of festive week, mind, but at least there are the quizzes on BBC2 each evening.
