I adore Salem, I drive out there every year. 50% historical sites, 50% tourist bullshit, and I adore both sides wholeheartedly. Plus it has my favorite museum (the PEM!).
Boston? Can be absolutely overwhelming and intimidating (and the roads *suck*) but there’s so damned much to explore!

I live in the Northwest of Vermont and I do have a few regular customers from... I'm going to say "parts of Europe" because I don't know if they're speaking Russian or Ukranian, I just hear "that accent."

Yeah, three of my ancestors were involved in the trials, and it's kinda not cool they turned some of it into a Witch-themed amusement park. "Teehee, we killed a bunch of innocent women, but here's a statue of Sabrina! Lol!"

Plus a Dunkin Donuts every two blocks.

That said, Salem *is* still a great spot for history. The Peabody-Essex Museum is amazing as well.

The witch trials memorial is a necessity. Paying respects to the lost to ensure history is not forgotten.

As a native New Englander I’ll say it’s worth visiting (why did I say that?!) but just bring jackets. And don’t expect a lot of sun. But… it is beautiful! And there is a lot to see depending on what you seek.

I was born in December. I can't be scared by some bad weather.
Mostly interested in history and nature. King and Lovecraft already "sold" me your forests and hills 😌 Wanna see it myself.
