First game, an 11th birthday present, was January 1956, friendly v Derby Co. We were slaughtered but I was hooked, now 69th season. Third Division South to PL and Europe. Seen it all.

My mum used to go in the late 50s as a teenager - she says that we always got good crowds back then. She would travel from Pulborough on the back of her brothers moped.
