Was only once in Skagway many years ago, after a canoe expedition on the Pelly River (Yukon T.) went wrong (bear attack, our fault). Our native guide, Shirley Lord, saved our asses and afterward took us on a day trip to Skagway just to relax us till our return flights. It was awesome. So was she.
The Governor of Alaska just said that Alaska was purchased for "RESOURCES;" he is thrilled that environtal regulations have been lifted via Executive Orders (praising trump). I pray that Alaska can remain beautiful and wild. Stewardship of our planet is at risk.
