That's sneaky!
Take good care of yourself!
Since Covid I can no longer tolerate coffee ... heartburn.
Luckely, I love tea.
But life isn't fair.
I feel with you.
Covid impacts your heart and blood so it does make sense. I have LC and I was having heart rate issues but they improved a lot over time. If you CAN get checked out it’s a good idea tho most doctors are pretty worthless on LC so you’ll have to teach them what to look for 🙃
I’m under the impression that if my issues were immediately life threatening doc would have spotted them. While I’m worried about the long term impact on my cardio health I’m not so worried about dropping dead as I had been earlier. So a doc can be good for at least determining that & there are meds
I had a bout of skipped beats/palpitations after my first brush with covid two years ago (I had been SO CAREFUL, dammit!) and got x-rayed, blood-tested, and wore a heart monitor for a while. They weren't worried. I have beta blockers here. I'm so sorry you went through this :(
Sorry for the long and possibly unwanted thread but I have friends who’ve gotten pericarditis from covid and it responds realllly well to a standard RX medication. This is not uncommon.
i have a hereditary arrhythmia and already went to the hospital for x rays, ekg, and blood work, everything is normal on paper but black coffee is right out these days. could be worse! but man having to think about this shit blows
It's so unnerving. And arrythmia is terrifying, always. I had blood work and x-rays and ekg and a monitor after the last bout of covid and they told me not to worry and take beta blockers when it occurs. "But ... but doctor, coffee is WHO I AM"
c19 is known to impact heart+ circulatory system so it is very possible... sorry to both of you, that sucks to experience😔
in case either of you had c19 recently, FYI, resting+ avoid stress as much as possible after - at least several weeks after - does a lot to better your odds@ full recovery🖤
Thank you -- I had it a month ago and have been resting up. But I have a strenuous international trip starting next week so ... trepidation. Beta blockers will be accompanying me, I think...
Happened to me after a nasty bout of influenza (pre-Covid times in 2019). Needed to cut my caffeine consumption down to half and replace some mugs with decaffeinated. Maybe a common long-term effect of a few respiratory viruses?
Oh, I’m okay. I discovered by hard-won experiment that actually sleeping properly helps. Which in principle should be a useful thing to know, even if… Hope you’re okay for the trip.
Hope you’re ok today - did anyone suggest a Kardia gadget to help you check what your heart rhythm is up to - it’s either useful or anxiety inducing but I have found it mostly useful, a cardiologist I saw suggested it. Gives you a mini ecg reading and interprets it.
