So I told all my girlfriends to get up to date on their vaccines. I am going to say this again. Do it now before they are not covered by insurance. Or eliminated. Or cost $500.

The pneumonia shot is a great idea also. I'm only 55 but about 6 years ago I kept getting hit with repeated pneumonia attacks. Finally got the super over 65 shot that last at least ten years, haven't had it since.
I'm not a doctor but never hurts to ask.
I love that! I am fortunately not american, but when your dear leader puts 100000% tariffs on my country for not selling him Greenland, insulin is gonna be a bit expensive for you all, so pro tip: Buy it now, too.
Yeah that really sucks and Brett walked off Scott free.
Massachusetts is pretty good at filing in the gaps, at least it was last time Trump pulled these stunts. But there is only so much they can do
Bummer. The problem here is the crazy cost of living. It grew that we tend to pay people more but being on disability that doesn't help me at all.
I am grateful for the safety nets.
It’s incredible. Today he stopped all research - healthy h medical funding. Shut down communication on health, CDC, etc. he hates America. All information is halted.
I have been getting my flu & covid & pneumonia shots religiously but now im concerned about what exciting things will happen to my insurance with my disability …
As an RN, please everyone, esp elderly and children get updated on vaccines. This is unprecedented stupidity and a disaster for healthcare in the US.What kind of idiot stops the ability of US healthcare and research to communicate when Bird flu is spreading. It’s like Covid stupidity all over again!
Two years ago at the urging of my GP i got my MMR booster.
Four weeks ago at the mere thought of RFK Jr at the helm, i got my Polio booster! Sure, i was vaccinated as a child but i am not ready to bet my life on how well it works now.
It is more expensive to treat the disease than to give vaccines. Insurance companies are not stupid and believe in low costs. The stupid ones are the unvaxxed. It is more likely that insurance companies won't pay for treatment for diseases that could be prevented with vaccines.
Everything is up in the air and we live in crazy town now, but I agree that insurance companies will probably continue to cover vaccines because of cost/ benefit.
So if we have another COVID outbreak the Dump admin will withhold the vaccine from us run of the mill citizens but save it for the Trump admin who didn’t take it in the last 4 years. Culling the herd .
Smart. My hubby works for months away from home so I had to get him caught up over the last 3 months. We are in our 70’s. Shingles # 2 was last week. Honestly the cvs attacker made it easy for me to see what he had done and where he needed to catch up!!!
I just told my family the same thing. Not just that, but pursue health in every way you can. Expense is one thing, but we've seen an overburdened health care system & it's not something I want anyone I care about subjected to.
No, but they could go back to refusing to insure people with pre-existing conditions - a very real possibility which will throw millions of people off healthcare thereby making it impossible for them to get vaccinated or any other healthcare needs met.
Now that is true..I didn't mean to imply they couldn't do things like that. I just think with such a slim majority in the House they won't succeed. And it can't be a subject of a reconciliation bill as it's not budgetary. Of course, fingers crossed.
Hard to predict. I didn’t think the Senate would cave on Hegseth - silly me…the House’s more erratic so who the fuck knows. I can predict the more the whip gets cracked, the more cowardice there’ll be. Threatening to lock people up for not snitching on DEIA efforts is a little taste of the future.
And your annual physical. That provision of the ACA is before SCOTUS right now. They know it's extremely unpopular to get rid of the ACA in one fell swoop so they will pick it apart until there's nothing left.
In case others weren't aware like myself, if you want a preventative for HPV, the Gardasil 9 vaccine is approved for up to age 45. It used to be like 22 or something. My mother wouldn't allow me to get it as a teen and I just started my series of 3!
I would love to but unfortunately I pay $100 per month for united healthcare and my policy doesn’t cover immunizations. Couldn’t even get a flu shot this year. Online it says my policy covers immunizations at 100% but on the telephone they say no. No more insurance. I’ll just wing it.
That is bonkers! Even United should be able to math out that paying for a flu shot is so much less than paying for a hospitalization for flu. Or antibiotics if it leads to pneumonia. Or even the office visit to see if you have pneumonia...
It's children I worry about....oh and the elderly and vulnerable.
Without protections holidays may be difficult . Other countries won't want new epidemics !
also with leaving WHO they will no longer be sharing anything with the US.
you will have to look outside the US for any WHO info.

no you can not come to Canada to get a vaccine......I checked for you already
My pneumonia vaccine in Dec. 2024 was just over $1000. If they stop paying for vaccines I would not have gotten that one. For my husband and myself that’s over two thousand dollars. That’s just one vaccine add in more at what cost? Most vaccines will sit unused on shelves.
Given the current situation, I’d consider getting the Polio vaccination series again if it’s been over 20 years since your initial series
(just to be sure).

I have NEVER caught the virus!
Between 500-1,000 Americans are still dying of COVID weekly. They’re primarily the unvaccinated.

Polio is still good but measles titer is too weak and no doctor will give me go ahead for another one 😩
As the nurse gave me the shot, she smiled and said "You know you cant OD on vaccines".
Polio? Yeah, that is 100% dying badly.
2. You cant O.D. on Vaccines.

God help us if you're real.
The whole point is for the vulnerable and the elderly to not survive.
Those that live will suffer from post-infection illnesses for which no health insurance company will cover once ACA is abolished
Penny wise, pound foolish. -E
Even vaccinated, you can get still get breakthrough Measles if herd immunity is under 95%
Insurance is covering it. Just like you said get it now or it’ll cost

Just got flu and MMR.
People who had childhood MMR vaccines should be immune for life, but do you really want to find out the hard way?
CDC says it’s safe to get an adult booster.
Copy this and any CDC info pages before they disappear too.
