Too true. And I'm not short of frustration at such moments! But if 11 years of this kind of work have taught me anything it's that people don't always know what you assume, or spend time thinking about the stuff we do. So perseverance is key: we've got to keep retelling the stories so they're heard.

It's tricky for many to get a sense of hard facts if a great deal is made of each and every programme win - easy, I can see, to assume the press noise means it's all fine now. So stats like this are, as you say, absolutely invaluable!

How anyone even remotely in touch with the music world could come up with something so absurd beggars belief.
