I feel like 1hr is fine if categorized and told step-by-step about each concept. This seems to do just that. Each topic is around 4-5 minutes. He also labels what's most important.

I would argue that a good guide should be something you can go back to for troubleshooting. By having common stuff all in one place, it seems easier for visibility. 2/2
even within Team Fortress 2, 1 hour long video tend to get less views than those of under 20 minutes
I do know that YT stops counting views from the same person if they're repeatedly going back in a short timeframe regardless of length. (1/2)
This is a side by side. The right video is double the length but it appears to be a stream recap on how busted Slayer was on release. People love seeing dumb interactions. Not so much self-help. (2/2)
