Correction: None does show absolutely nothing.
If you want wild particles hidden and only absolute necessities like buffs etc., that'll be Limited, my bad!
XIV has three different levels of visuals for different players in showing the special effects for animations for attacks and the like (fire enveloping, ice battering enemies etc). Full effects (default), limited (shows very particular effects like party-wide buffs probably), and none (only things
that get through are like ground-placed circles like smn-dot, ninja doton, pictomancer buff circle, drk dot circle, healer domes, etc since you Should Know those are there no matter what)
These can be chosen for yourself, other members of your party, and for other players outside your party- jic
Looks like you're right! I thought there were some visuals none forced through, but I guess not. I suppose that's the point of Limited. Though I'm not sure what the point of None is, cause at that point you're making things harder for yourself??
actually i have a *really* hard time parsing things in motion sometimes and i can't always see which side of the boss is the back so sometimes i need to turn off the rest of the party's effects until i really just internalize where the butt's absolute position on the map is going to be
