As someone from RoW, it seems to me that a lot of the pushback in the 🇺🇸 regarding DeepSeek R1 is because it was done by a company from 🇨🇳, however now that researchers from credible 🇺🇸academic institutions have demonstrated the same, it’s ‘Emperor has no clothes‘ bad for the likes of OpenAI
