I'd say anything Pilot is usually good. Their extra fine nibs aren't overly scratchy compared to competitors but regardless if you can get a custom nib grind from someone who is able to see how you write first, I think that's *the best*. I have some Platinum 3776 I like out of the box but
My favourites are the Nahvalur Original Plus and the Kaweco Student that I had ground for cursive italic. I mentioned I preferred smooth and less feedback when I write and they adjusted them for that. For more feedback, I guess Sailor has the most "pencil-like" experience.
I like these two as affordable but durable options! Pilot G-Tec if you want a thin, accurate gel pen (which also comes in a wide variety of colors) or Bic Cristal pens if you want a very affordable ballpoint pen which responds phenomenally to pressure (amazing for sketching stuff)
