Why would you want to load your header in a separate request after the initial pageload?
Isn’t that just going to make your load time slower?

Probably, and worse, shift the content if it's not render-blocking. Still, it's a nuanced thing and that potential downside alone isn't the entire reason it's not allowed (I don't think).

No but I think you need a strong argument for introducing something like that.
I can’t think of a case where there isn’t a better option already. 🤷♂️
I’m not against it at all but I also would not prioritise it.

O yes please. SVG can import (or rather
) other SVG. It feels so odd that HTML hasn’t filled this gap. We had this desire before and ”statisfied“ it with frameset.

Well, for our purpose it’s basically doing what we expect: “pull in a named fragment of markup and drop it right here.”
Importing a whole file might be tricky, cause it’s either invalid html or has a

I always just inline the svg. It’s easier and saves a roundtrip.
It does mean that it’s not cached but I don’t think that matters that much 🤷♂️
